All through 2025, I offered at least one of my books for free almost every day of the year, so I’ve got some findings that may be of interest to other indie writers looking for any insights that could help increase their profile and sales.
When it comes to giveaways, there was an outcome I found surprising. The day of the week in which I achieved the fewest giveaways was… SUNDAY.
I would have thought that the weekend would have been the time when people had more time to browse Amazon looking for a deal. But no! Not when it comes to Jon Lymon books anyway!
And the weakness of the weekend as a time for Amazon Freebie giveaways was confirned by the fact that Saturday was a close second to Sunday in terms of generating the fewest freebie giveaways.
In 2026, I'll be thinking twice about loading up the weekend with freebie offers.
